COVID-19 safety measures

Covid-19 safety measures

Your safety first

In these very challenging times for all of us, our dentistry must do everything to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect our patients, medical staff, and visitors. Therefore, we have set strict sanitary rules on our Clinic that we would like to ask you to kindly follow during your visit.

What we ask from you

Before your arrival, our Dental Tourism Managers contact you to inform you about our sanitary rules and ask specific questions about your current health condition focusing on the symptoms of corona virus. In order to decrease the spread of COVID-19 and to protect fellow staff and patients, it is essential to take every precaution to ensure that anyone entering our Clinic has been symptom-free for two weeks. Upon arrival, our trained medical staff welcomes you at the entrance: they brief you verbally on our protocols, ask you questions about your health condition, and check your temperature. Patients who are having high temperature and/or other COVID symptoms (e.g. coughing) will not be permitted to enter our facility; no exceptions.

At Medicover Dental Clinic, the wearing of face mask is mandatory. We provide this equipment for free if needed. We kindly ask you to use hand sanitizers regularly, placed all around the Clinic.

EU immunity certificate:

From 1 July, Hungary, like the other Member States, guarantees free entry to foreigners arriving with an EU Covid certificate. This EU immunity certificate is available both digitally and on paper free of charge.

Who is eligible for an EU Covid certificate?

Who received the vaccination – vaccination certificate

The person who has been vaccinated at least once and not more than one year has passed since the first vaccination. The vaccination certificate is valid for 1 year. The host country will determine which vaccines it will accept to justify vaccination. Everyone who is vaccinated can receive a vaccination certificate, regardless of which coronavirus vaccine they have received, but Member States determine which vaccines are accepted. Please also note that for vaccines, the EU Covid certificate contains the official name of the vaccine and the manufacturer, which is not the same as the names of the vaccine used in everyday life. It is also up to the Member States to determine how many vaccinations are required and how many days must pass after vaccination, and how long protection is, based on the vaccination.

Who has been confirmed to have contracted the infection – recovery certificate

Under EU conditions, this means that 15 days have passed since the last positive PCR test for coronavirus, or a positive antigen test accepted under the EU Regulation has been performed but 180 days have not yet passed since then. The maximum validity of this type of card is 180 days, but Member States may set a shorter date. In this case, the card must be issued no earlier than 11 days after the person was first subjected to a rapid antigen test or a negative PCR test.

Who has a negative coronavirus test – test certificate

It is up to the host countries to determine the validity of the test required to enter that country. A negative PCR test performed no later than 72 hours is required to enter Hungary.

What we do for your safety

Dental treatments are prepared in close contact between the patient and the dentist, so we have made special measures in our daily operation too, to minimize the possibility of any infection. We want you to feel safe at our Clinic from the first time of entering the building, until the end of your treatment, therefore now we present to you how we contribute to your and our staff’s safety.

Disinfecting:

We know that now cleaning and disinfecting is the most important thing that we can do to make you feel safe at our Clinic. Therefore we created a special protocol on top of our high-level cleaning and disinfecting regulations. The waiting rooms are ventilated continuously and disinfected every hour. Treatment rooms are cleaned and disinfected totally after every patient visit: the dental treatment unit with all equipment, all surfaces in the room, the touch screens, and even the door handle. We use pre-packed, sterilized tools for the treatments that are opened right before use. Sanitizing station and plastic separator are installed to our reception desk, and we disinfect regularly pens and surfaces to make the check-in safe too.

Protective gear:

Because of the close and sustained proximity to the patient (particularly among dentists and their staff), our medical staff is wearing special protective equipment. Face shields are worn in tandem with approved n95 respirators and goggles by the dentists, with isolation gown, surgical-grade nitrile gloves, and hairnet.

Distancing:

We do our best to help you to keep a safe distance from others during your stay. We maximized the number of patients in the waiting room in 4 people. Like this, you can easily keep 2 meters while waiting for your treatment.

Signage:

We placed informative signals and posters all around the Clinic to make you easier to follow the current hygiene rules. We hope these will help to provide guidance and answers to your questions when our staff may not available to address concerns.
